Q: If I have my tub reglazed, how long will it last?
A: Our technologies provide long lasting finished surfaces.  You should expect 10-20 years worth of service from your reglazed fixture.

Q: Do I have to refinish the entire fixture?
A: In most cases yes. Refinished only part of a surface will make the unfinished part, well...unfinished.

Q: How long must I wait to use my newly reglazed tub?
A: About 24 hours.

Q: Do StrongArm technicians repair plumbing?
A: No. Consult your local plumbers for leaks and plumbing problems.

Q: I heard that when a tub is redone, it gives off an odor?
A: Newly reglazed tubs can give off a slight odor for a short time.

Q: I use my tub to dye my hair. Will it damage or stain my newly refinished tub?
A: No, your new finish is resistant to hair coloring chemicals.

Q: How long does it usually take to reglaze a tub?

A: Usually about two to four hours depending on how much work it needs.

Q: Can you fix a large hole in my fiberglass enclosure?
A: Yes

Q: My fiberglass tub has a large crack in it. Is it ruined or can you fix it?
A: No, it is not ruined, and yes it is definitely fixable.

Q: My tub was refinished by someone else and is peeling. What happened?
A: Most likely you have a surface bonding problem. The company that refinished your tub most likely used either inexpensive, inferior materials, and/or poorly trained personnel. At StrongArm Reglaze we only use the finest material and our technicians our highly trained.

Q: My ceramic tile tub is a really dated color. Can it be re-colored?
A: Your bathroom tile can be re-colored to any color you want.

Q: When I have a fixture reglazed, does it require special care or cleaning?
A: You should treat your newly reglazed fixture much like you treat any new surface. No abrasive cleansers should be used, that’s what dulls it in the first place. Also, no extra strength cleansers should be needed. Some recommendations are: Simple Green, 409 (without bleach) Fantastic, Lysol Tub and Scrubbing Bubbles.

Q: What should I do to prepare for the reglazing process?
A: Repair or replace any plumbing problems such as leaking facets, broken handles or broken pipes. Remove any hardware that you plan to replace. Also, remove all items contained in the room, especially those items in and around the surface to be reglazed.

Q: Will refinishing cause any damage or harm to my home or pet?
A: No, any odors form chemicals we use are exhausted by window or fan and gone within a few hours.
